When a Crisis Hits: Where to Turn in the Lake Travis Community
A resource guide for families facing unexpected hardship in the Lakeway and Lake Travis area.
No one plans for a crisis. A sudden medical bill, an eviction notice, a lost job, a family emergency — these things happen to good people in good communities every day. The Lake Travis area may look prosperous from the outside, but real families here face real struggles. This post is a resource guide for anyone who needs a hand right now.
Start With LTCM
Lake Travis Crisis Ministries at 1304 Ranch Road 620 North in Lakeway is your first call for immediate food and financial assistance. Open Wednesdays 5–7 PM and Thursdays 10 AM–12 PM. Walk-ins welcome. Bring your bills for financial requests. No appointment needed for food.
Financial Help Available Through LTCM
Rent and mortgage assistance, utility bill help (electric, water, gas), car expenses, medical and prescription costs, eyeglasses, and more — all reviewed individually based on current resources. LTCM has been serving this community since 1988 and has helped thousands of families stabilize during crisis.
Clothing Assistance
LTCM also provides clothing vouchers for the Lake Travis Thrift Shop, which can help stretch a tight budget when you need it most.
Long-Term Support
LTCM doesn't just focus on immediate needs. We also connect neighbors with longer-term resources including education, job assistance, financial counseling, and support groups. If you need more than a one-time bridge, we'll walk that road with you.
LTCM has been serving neighbors in the Lake Travis area since 1988 — over 35 years of showing up for this community.
A Word of Encouragement
Asking for help is one of the bravest things a person can do. It takes strength to say 'I need support right now.' The LTCM community is honored to stand with you in that moment.
