How to Get Help from Lake Travis Crisis Ministries
A step-by-step guide for neighbors in need — no judgment, just support.
Sometimes life throws more at us than we can handle alone. A job loss, a medical emergency, an unexpected bill — any of these can tip a family into crisis quickly. If you're living or working in the Lake Travis area and you need help, Lake Travis Crisis Ministries (LTCM) is here. This post walks you through exactly how to access our services.
Who Can We Help?
LTCM serves anyone living or working within the Lake Travis Independent School District — zip codes 78734, 78738, and 78669. We are an ecumenical, all-volunteer organization, which means we welcome everyone regardless of faith background, income level, or circumstances.
What We Offer
We provide two core forms of assistance: food and financial help. On the financial side, we can assist with rent, mortgage payments, utilities (electricity, water, and gas), car expenses, medical and prescription costs, glasses, and more — all evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We also offer clothing vouchers for the Lake Travis Thrift Shop.
"It is a very hard thing to walk in our door and admit you need help. We understand that. We strive to make everyone feel welcome and as comfortable as possible."
How to Visit Us
We are located at 1304 Ranch Road 620 North, Lakeway, TX 78734. We are open Wednesday evenings from 5–7 PM and Thursday mornings from 10 AM–12 PM. No appointment is needed for food assistance. For financial assistance, please bring copies of your bills, invoices, and any supporting documents.
What to Expect When You Arrive
A friendly volunteer will greet you at the front desk. You'll be asked to share some basic information about your situation so we can understand your needs. Everything is handled with dignity, compassion, and complete confidentiality. There is no shame in asking for help — that's exactly what we're here for.
