5 Things to Know Before You Visit Lake Travis Crisis Ministries
First time reaching out for help? Here's everything you need to know before you come.
Reaching out for help for the first time can feel intimidating. We want to take that worry off your plate before you even walk through the door. Here are five things every first-time visitor should know about LTCM.
1. You Don't Need an Appointment for Food
Just come during our open hours — Wednesday 5–7 PM and Thursday 10 AM–12 PM. Our volunteers will greet you and walk you through the process. It's that simple.
2. Bring Your Bills for Financial Assistance
If you're coming to request financial help with rent, utilities, or other expenses, bring copies of the relevant bills or invoices. This helps our volunteers process your request quickly and ensures we can get you the right kind of help.
3. We Serve the Entire Lake Travis ISD Area
Our service area includes zip codes 78734, 78738, and 78669. If you live or work within the Lake Travis Independent School District boundary, you are eligible for our services.
4. Everything Is Confidential
What you share with us stays with us. Our volunteers are trained to handle every interaction with discretion, respect, and compassion. Your privacy matters to us.
5. This Is a Community Built on Faith and Love
LTCM is an ecumenical, all-volunteer organization — meaning we are supported by many local churches and community members, but we serve everyone regardless of faith or background. We believe in loving our neighbors. You are our neighbor.
"We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the goal to serve our clients with dignity, compassion, love, and respect." — LTCM Mission
